LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT
Founder of Blue Zone Thinking, Mandy Diamond, is also co-author of the book "Leaders Developing Leaders". The frameworks and tools developed in the book form the foundation of our practices, beliefs and approach to leadership. We believe that leadership is not something that should only be practiced at the senior level of an organisation but rather engrained in the culture of the company and each individual employee.
Our workshops focus on the following areas of leadership:
- Emotional Awareness of Self and Others
- Building Relationships
- Managing and Leading through Change
- Managing Contexual Risk
All of our materials are designed using the principle of 'Learn-Apply-Teach'. All participants will not only gain knowledge in the workshop, they will leave our workshops with unique resources and the confidence to apply it in their day-to-day lives. Finally and most importantly, we expect participants to share their knowledge with others, further promoting and encouraging a culture of learning and leadership in your organisation.
TEAM BUILDING
Aristotle wisely said "The whole is greater than the sum of it's parts". If we want to get the best out of our teams, it is important to nurture and support their growth. Team building is an important investement of time and money as it allows individuals in the team to get to know and see each other through a new lens. It helps them to break down some walls, understand and respect strengths and differences in an authentic way.
Team building is not meant just for new teams, it is also vital for teams that have been together for a while and become trapped in the comfort of routine. While on the surface it may seem that your team is operating well together, a team that is trapped in their comfort zone, are more than likely missing out on opportunities and may not be operating as efficiently as they can be. Team building functions as that reset button which invigorates new ideas, new discussions and new thinking.
CHANGE MANAGEMENT
The world we live in is changing at an incredible rate. If your organisation is unable to keep up and lead your employees through change quickly and effectively, there is a good chance that your organization will be lagging behind your competitiors.
In order to fully harness the opportunities and possibilities that come with change, your leaders need to be equipped to identify what individuals:
1. Need in times of change
2. Have difficulty with in times of change
3. Manifest when feeling unsupported through change
While a thorough change management process is essential to effectively lead our people through change, if we fail to acknowledge the human element of change, the change process will undoubtedly fail. Process is our map but it is the people that get us through the journey to the other side.
SPEAKING ENGAGEMENTS
Founder of Blue Zone Thinking, Mandy Diamond, is a dynamic presenter who has worked has worked globally with clients in Australia, Asia, Middle East and the USA. She has worked across a variety of industries from mining to hospitality and in both the private and public sector. Whether her focus is at a 1-on-1, team or organizational level, Mandy has the ability to connect with individuals and open their eyes to possibilities and capabilities they never thought possible.
Mandy was born in South Africa, and experienced change on an evolutionary scale at a very early age, when Nelson Mandela was elected president of the very country that had imprisoned him for 27 years. At the impressionable age of 15, her family, left everything that was familiar to them and started a new life in Australia. Her immigration to Australia taught her key life skills, again at a very early age. Her resilience, strength, determination and hard work were all traits that helped her succeed in her Learning and Development Career.
In 2012, Mandy co-authored a book with Ivan Nurick, “Leaders developing Leaders”. The success of this book led her to leave her role at one of Australia's major banks and join Ivan at On Cue Executive Consulting. This saw Mandy expand into Executive level leadership and strategy development as well as working with organizations at an executive level to work through cultural change.
If you are looking for someone to inspire your people and challenge them to breakthrough barriers, Mandy has made it her mission to provide organizations (and their leaders) with the tools (and the confidence) to move beyond their comfort zones.
